This kit in particular is designed to be used with the stock k-member and will require the removal of the A\/C. There is no way to keep the A\/C using this system as we know customers will ask. However, check our other page if you wanted to keep A\/C we have a t4 kit as designed that will retain A\/C but will require you to use our turbo k-member. Our T6 LS1 turbo system is one of the most complete kits on the market today for these cars. You will not have to track down manifolds from trucks, turbo from another place and make exhaust. We have a complete system to offer with many options so that you can get about all you need to install from one shop if you want. Our kit comes with everything you need on the hot side from manifolds to your turbo. The y-pipe we built off each manifold is 2.5 and merges on the passenger side. Each kit will include our On 3 Performance 80mm billet wheel turbocharger. So if you are wanting to increase your base pressure, you would need to upgrade your spring. Just a quick crash course on boost control, you can basically double your base pressure with a manual controller. You cannot adjust and lower the spring pressure besides for just going with a smaller spring. So with that being said, if you need to increase your base pressure, we have 3 options: 8psi Spring 11psi Spring 14psi Spring   Quick example, if you go with our 11psi spring, your going to make 11psi without any boost controller on the car. That way you are able to keep the exhaust note manageable and not drawl too much attention if you don't want. Although it can be ran open downpipe as well very easily while most of our customers over time prefer to run a full exhaust setup. Some say turbo cars are quite but under partial or full throttle and open downpipe, its somewhat obnoxious personally.   Moving on to the cold side of the kit, we have built a 2.5\" charge pipe that feeds the intercooler and coming out of the intercooler to the throttle body transitions into 3\". Each kit comes with our crossflow 3\" On 3 Performance bar and plate intercooler. We also have a 4\" core that is available as well and listed under our optional items if you plan on maxing out your shortblock or if you have a built motor going for higher boost levels. Our 5 ply On 3 Performance silicone couplers connect each intercooler pipe together and t-bolt clamps ensure maximum clamping force and prevent any intercooler pipes from blowing. Each pipe is bead rolled on both ends to add extra protection from losing a pipe under boost. All intercooler piping is made from 6061 aluminum to help dissipate heat and also keep weight down over using stainless. We do not want to see you ruin your turbo from lack of proper understanding about motor cubic inch size and turbo exhaust wheel sizing. We most commonly see this when our customers try to put a 65 exhaust wheel on a 6.0 or larger motor. The rule of thumb is the larger the motor, the larger the exhaust wheel you are going to need. If you put too small of a turbo on too large of a motor, the turbo will fail due to this. Again, if you have questions, please call. We can't possibly know what your project\/swap is if you order the kit off of the website without reaching out to us first. Generally, a 70\/65 or 76\/65 turbo will be just fine for a fairly stock 4.8L or a 5.3L motor, but not ok when you step up into a 6.0. The 6.0L and 6.2L motors should have a 78\/75 or larger turbo, depending on the build. Understand that the 76\/75 BMF is fine as well, and will actually generate more power than the 78\/75. This allows various options for boost levels. These can be stacked together to add spring pressure. The compact gates come with two springs inside, totaling to 7.5lbs of boost together. It is important to have the correct base spring pressure so that you can achieve the boost number you're after. For the guys running spring pressure only the target boost will be simple. Put in the springs as suggested to achieve the boost level you want. For guys running a boost controller, you can typically only double the spring pressure. So if your goal is to make 20lbs of boost and you are not using c02 with a regulator then you would need 10lbs worth of spring. Below I will list the spring ratings. Keep in mind, gate placement, back pressure, engine size, turbo size and even ignition timing all has a factor in how much boost the vehicle is making, regardless of the spring you have installed. So this chart may not be exact to your application in some scenarios.  You will see there's a lot of different options when you start mixing and matching springs with this spring pack.
